Dental Health
How many of you have seen the back of my golf cart that says, “Don’t forget to Floss”? Smiles, teeth, and gums are things in this world that I am passionate about. To follow is some basic dental health information.
Why do you need to floss?
Have you ever stood on the pier at the beach and look at the barnacles that are growing on the legs? That is what happens in your mouth when you don’t floss. The barnacles are much smaller, LOL, but they build up and cause your gum tissue to pull away from your teeth. Very bad. It also causes bad breath. Floss every night after you have had your last food for the day. If you are a TV watcher, put your floss next to your remote and floss while watching TV. Any time you go to the movies is a perfect time to eat your popcorn and then have a floss party while watching the movie. You do not have to be in the bathroom to floss.
Floss first and then brush in the evening. Flossing drags stuff out of all the little places in your mouth that things hide, and then you brush it off.
Brush in the morning, so you don’t make all the people you talk to smell your morning breath. LOL
Gum disease is directly related to heart disease. Flossing, brushing, and taking care of your oral health is so important. This is a neglected subject in the education of people. Floss, Floss, Floss
